Overview

The Spa Sales Manager ensures Spa exceeds financial goals by generating new revenue through external group bookings, internal resort initiatives and spa events. Spa Sales Manager develops, implements, and measures success of sales plan; serves as primary contact for hotel sales department; creates and manages spa programming and events to improve hotel capture rates, generate bookings, and revenue. Sales Manager serves as community relations manager, developing relationships and building strategic business alliances. Sales Manager represents the Spa at networking, social, and charity events, as well as manages charitable donation requests. Sales Manager assists Spa Operations Director with marketing and special projects. The Sales Manager must submit sales reports daily and weekly, as well as guest mix, retention and hotel capture rates.  The Spa Sales Manager reports to Spa Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

•Ensures the “WTS Experience” for guests by maintaining the standards set by WTS’ Basics to Excellence (BTE), WTS’ Mission Statement/Values; Standards and Expectations, and WTS’ Brand Standards.
• Adheres to policies of the facility and WTS International.
• Develops a comprehensive individualized sales plan for groups visiting the property.
• Spa Sales Manager stays informed with all group bookings and events that are relevant to the Spa.
• Must assist with reporting for end of month, ownership meetings and daily revenues.
• Manage marketing initiatives within the resort.
• Develops, through use of a template, a weekly, monthly and yearly group sales report outlining key financial and guest types.
• Attend and coordinate local events in Palm Beach to promote the spa, while strictly adhering to promotional budget.
• Ensures that spa collateral is created, printed, distributed and inventoried.
• Create, coordinate facilitate at least one weekly group driven event on a monthly basis to achieve specified revenue goals through appointment and group bookings.
• Meet or exceed spa revenue and guest mix and capture goals each month.
• Must be able to track and create presentations that show revenue and group trends within the spa.
• Responsible for generating, scheduling and hosting new and return external local group business, including corporate, personal and bridal.
• Promote, sell and establish tracking mechanism of bridal business to the spa.
• Sell Aquanuts and Coast kids programs to the local community.
• Build relationships with the resort sales team and attend revenue meetings, sales meetings, operations meetings and leader’s meetings.
• Must communicate specials and group information including site inspections, group leader’s VIPS and special discounts and services to the team.
• Must enter group names, discounts and special services into SpaBiz, and be able to track sales accordingly.
• Schedule group appointments and coordinate the entire operation of group sell outs and events. A group is defined by ten (10) or more local or transient resort guests contracted by resort or spa.
• Must schedule and coordinate site inspections. An in-house group consists of spa call-in groups as well as hotel group leads generated by hotel sales staff.  
• Increase brand awareness in the community through charitable contributions, attending networking and social events as well as building strategic business alliances and referrals.  
• Provides timely updates on groups and any other relevant activity for the spa and/or hotel. Communicates all the details of the specific groups to entire spa team in advance to ensure proper staffing and event execution.
• Conducts and customizes all site visits and tours for the specific sales opportunity for each group.
• Works with all groups and group leads to ensure a process and flow from first call to implementation, including contract administration, scheduling, being present for group events.
• Oversees the billing and ensure accuracy for the group business.
• Creates detailed requests for the hotel Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) for groups and events.
• Must assist with monthly events at the spa.
• Must be able and willing to work holidays, nights and weekends.
• Provides excellent follow-up and ongoing communication with groups and monitors guest feedback through the use of follow-up calls and emails, comment cards and other customer care techniques.  Follows up internally on guest comments and works with Spa management to resolve any concerns related to staff performance.
• Assists in facilitating a team approach with Spa Front of House and support staff in order to service all groups with accuracy and professionalism.
• Assists with general spa marketing and public relations strategy and helps plan and coordinate media visits and in-spa events as needed.
• Assists staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to help maintain facility and prepare for special events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Success in Sales
• Customer service experience, preferably in a spa.
• Ability to explain various treatments/services to guests.
• Excellent customer service skills and work ethic.
• Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
• Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills including public speaking
• Strong team player.
• Must be comfortable with product recommendation.
• Proficient on Spa Biz or other Hotel/Spa booking systems, Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of the time.
• This position requires the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and talk.
• The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Willingness to work a varied work schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
