The Pool and Park Attendant provides custodial, light maintenance and monitoring to assigned park facilities, which may include trails, community green spaces, pools, playgrounds, dog parks, and other areas as needed by the CDD to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for community residents and guests. This position is based outdoors and will work both Saturday & Sunday.



  • Ensures the “WTS Experience” for residents, visitors and their guests by maintaining the standards set in WTS’ Basics to Excellence (BTE), WTS’ Mission Statement/Values; Standards and Expectations, and WTS’ Brand Standards.
  • Acts as “Community Ambassador” during assigned shifts and greets and communicates with residents and guests regarding community amenities, recreation programs and other concerns.
    • Monitors and promotes water safety among residents and guests at assigned aquatic facilities, including pool, splashpad and surrounding deck.
    • Conducts necessary repairs and performs necessary cleaning in a manner that is responsive to guest satisfaction on pool, splashpad and assigned park sites.
    • Performs general custodial duties, including litter pick-up and sweeping, of community spaces to include greenways, medians, trails, parks, benches, dog parks, restrooms and other community areas as assigned.
    • Straightens pool furniture, skims pool and removes debris, trash and leaves from deck.
    • Ensures dog parks are operational and fully stocked with bags and trash containers.
    • Follows the daily opening and closing procedures of assigned sites as necessary and reports any safety or maintenance issues to the Manager on Duty.
    • Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facilities and ensure they are being followed, communicating them in a tactful manner to residents and their guests.
    • Monitors usage of community facilities, to include parks, trails, and pools, and tactfully responds to resident complaints or concerns regarding the facilities or their usage.
    • Performs light maintenance on amenity property and equipment, and reports safety concerns to Manager on Duty.
    • Assists during assigned special events and programs with custodial tasks, including but not limited to, trash pickup, setting up tables and chairs, assisting with breakdown, and other duties as needed by the Manager on Duty.
    • Re-stocks appropriate park items (paper towels in restrooms, dog bags in park), as well as janitorial duties in amenity restrooms.
    • Checks Resident Access Cards and/or Guest Sign-In for allowed entries to facility.
    • Operates CDD vehicles and equipment in a clean, safe and respectful manner.
    • Other duties, as assigned by WTS Director.



• Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
• Strong team player with flexible schedule.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions throughout the year.
• Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner to guests and residents using professional language.
• Ability to express and maintain an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ensure that assigned uniform is clean and professional at all times.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to make independent decisions when dealing with the safety and security of recreational facilities.
• Must have a clean and current Driver License and driving record.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions – this position is based outdoors and will experience wet, hot and cold extremes.
• Position requires incumbent to sit, stand, walk on level and slippery surfaces, climb, reach, turn, twist, bend, kneel, stop, squat and crouch while in the performance of daily activities.
• Must be able to move, lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
