  • Overview

    WTS International, one of the world’s leading spa, fitness and leisure consulting and management firms, is seeking a Club Supervisor for Potomac, MD.  The Club Supervisor is responsible for the general supervision of the club and directing facility operations to include: Monitoring and controlling expenses to meet planned operating profits, delivering a first class service experience, recruiting, hiring, and training all employees to meet staffing needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Sets-up, maintains and cleans facility
    • Welcomes guests, explains, promotes, and sells programs and activities.
    • Reports and resolves complaints
    • Maintains roster records and ensures rules and regulations are enforced in a tactful manner
    • Is timely and punctual when reporting to work.  
    • Attend all scheduled training and meetings as required.
    • Meet with supervisor on an established basis.
    • Ensure the desk and surrounding area is safe, clean and orderly.
    • Reports any current or future facility concerns and, with Operations Director’s approval, forwards recommended changes to the client.
    • Submits all paperwork and financial reporting, including payroll, in accordance with WTS International policy.
    • Ensures accurate facility maintenance procedures and checklists through routine preventative maintenance and repair.
    • Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and or products.
    • Keeps club members informed of all events and programs at the club through club signage, website update, emails, and social media.
    • Recruits, hires, and trains attendants to open and close the facility while maintaining a clean and friendly environment.
    • Ensures fiscal responsibility through efficient scheduling of facility and, when necessary, makes changes to stay within budgetary guidelines.
    • Assesses all employees’ progress continually; coaches employees with positive reinforcement, and disciplines, when necessary, fairly and consistently.
    • Provides excellent customer service and monitors guest feedback through the use of comment cards and other customer care techniques.  Supervises and follows up on guest requests and comments.
    • Ensures facility is only accessed by actual members and/or guests, and that it is safe and secure at all times.
    • Directs and oversees facility operations to ensure achievement of sales and retention goals.
    • Attends all management functions and meetings associated with client.
    • Recommends and develops marketing strategies to include planning/coordinating promotions, facility activities and effective advertising.
    • Maintains cooperation and teamwork throughout the facility, placing a high emphasis on client service and satisfaction.
    • Identifies, evaluates, and resolves problems in a timely manner, utilizing innovative ideas and sound judgment.
    • Ensure compliance with all state licensing and health requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Supervisory experience preferred
    • Must be able to lift 45-pounds
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
    • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
    • Effective leadership skills and strong work ethic
    • Proficient in appropriate computer skills and office equipment
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • This position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk
    • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
    • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
